PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

“The Beginning

is the

End “

(TS ELIOT)
A message about a reset.
The beginning of any term is always about a reset.
New beginnings. New ways of doing the same things.

In a school however we have to have some sense of the goal (end point).
That end is something about the rule of 90!.
90% attendance on time. 90% decrease in poor behaviour. 90% achievement in UE. 90% support from our parental community. 90% of fees collected etc...
Some Term 1 stats.
70% attendance of 90% of students each day.
94 students with a 100% attendance.
70% average attendance of parent meetings.
70% of homework completion.

We are getting there.
During the holidays we have publicly recognised with honours boards those achieving:
  • Academic Excellence,
  • Leadership in Catholic character enterprises
  • Leadership of captains of sporting codes
  • Long serving staff
More on these later.
Thank you for your support in helping us get the basics right, the uniform worn well, the grooming done well, the punctuality, the respect shown to the staff etc.. Always appreciated .

            NOTICES & OPERATIONS
            Curriculum
            Term Two Reports and Progress Meeting All students will receive an Academic Achievement Report, with comments and an indication of current academic progress on Monday in Week 3 of Term Two.

            This will be followed by two progress meeting afternoons, on Wednesday 6th May and Thursday 7th May from 2.30 pm - 6.30 pm.
            These meetings are an important opportunity for parents to speak with teachers and discuss how best to support academic achievement. Booking information for these meetings will be sent in Term Two.
            Additional information will also be shared with parents of Year 7, 8, 9, and 10 student early Term Two to explain how to interpret the new reporting that the government has mandated.
            PARKING
            • When dropping off students of in the morning please move to the end of the lane.
            • Registration for drivers: All student drivers are required to have registered (with car details) with the Deputy Principal, Mr.Darragh.
