PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
“God does not see a Crowd”
|
|
|
|
|
It is true that God only sees the individual-perfectly created and made in His own image from all time.
|
As aptly phrased on a graffitied New York wall
|
That is our Catholic belief about life and about people. That belief supports our Marcellin College learning culture .
|
But a High school is a “crowd” of young men and women. A school that has a prescriptive uniform which supports the dignity of each individual.
|
We need to be clear about uniform standards expected at Marcellin College which all our students leave (arrive) home each day.
|
Some reminders about our expectations:
|
- Boys Junior shirts are tucked in. College regulation socks are pulled up. A tee shirt (under the blue shirt) should not be showing.
- Boys Senior, a tie is expected and done up properly with the top button closed.
- The blue vest is no longer part of our College uniform. Don’t wear the vest.
- Girls Seniors, a tie is worn and done up correctly to the top button always.

NOTICES & OPERATIONS

We appreciate your patience as we solve the parking issues and student dismissal.
|
- Gate Closures: The College gates will close for cars at 8.40 am. Gates will reopen for cars only at until 3.40 pm.
- Student Parking: There is no student parking available on College grounds.
- Registration for drivers: All student drivers are required to register (with car details) with the Deputy Principal, Mr.Darragh on the first day.

The expectation is that all students have their stationery and laptop.
|
Marcellin College has a college uniform which is expected to be worn with pride by every student all times. (From Home , At College, From College until they return home)
|
Marcellin College students have dignity and grooming standards applied.
|
- Ties for both Male and Female Year 11, 12 and 13 students are expected to be done up to the highest button.
- Only regulation uniform items are permitted (from Warehouse Royal Oak)

CONGRATULATIONS - Felicity Pome'e
|
|
|
|
|
Felicity alongside 17 other ākonga from the Auckland Pasifika Secondary School's choir, have been asked by the NZ High Commision in Samoa to attend the marking of Waitangi celebrations in Samoa and perform. The NZ High Commision gave all 18 ākonga an all expenses paid trip from Wednesday 4 February to Saturday 7 February.
