Mass at Cathedral of St Patrick and St Joseph

On Wednesday 6 June the whole school travelled into Auckland City for a Mass at the Cathedral in celebration fo our 60 Years of Marcellin College and the Feast day of St Marcellin Champagnat. Check our the photos of this special event in the gallery.

Year 7/8 at Vector Wero Water Park

The Year 7 and Year 8 spend time recently at the Vector Wero Water Park. Luckily wet suits were provided as it was recorded as the coldest morning of the year!

Model United Nations

On 18 May, 3 groups of Year 12 /13 Marcellin students participated in the Model United Nations event (MUNA) held at Auckland Girls Grammar School. MUNA’s purpose was to simulate what it’s like to participate in a United Nations Conference for diplomacy, international negotiations and for the preservation of world peace. Our three teams had the pleasure to represent the countries Lithuania, Mali, and Kazakhstan. 

Pompallier Shield Competition 24.05.18

It was an exciting evening for Marcellin College on Thursday 24th May at the Pompallier Shield Competition. Hosted by Marist College, 15 Catholic Colleges competed against each other in Senior Oratory, Junior Speech, Senior Speech, Junior Scripture, Maori Scripture, Religious Drama and Religious Song.

Marcellin's Kasi Valu came 1st in the Senior Oratory and Scholastica Samoa Fa'aluaseu Filipo came 1st in the Junior Oratory and Marcellin's Drama group placed 4th. 

Overall Marcellin was placed 5th.

Year 13 Biology Trip to Ambury Farm

Last term on the 5th of April the Year 13 Biology class went on a trip to Ambury farm where they learned about selectively bred animals such as cows and sheep. They learned a lot of interesting information about Ambury farm and had a great time exploring it.

Social Justice Committee Spotlight

The Social Justice committee is a great committee to be involved with. Our committee members are; Kim, Novie, Crystal, Nathan, Jairon and Andrei, and were all chosen to be a part of this great team!  We are trying to spend our time giving back to the community by raising funds for organisations and spreading awareness of issues in order to help the effort towards social equality and a fairer society for all.

1st XV Game Sat 5th May 2018

On Saturday the 5th of May 2018, our 1st XV team went against Mangere College. They put up a good fight and came away knowing that they were beaten by a better team on the day.
